shanaiatour

‘Wow it’s so green in here’ I was muttering as we were approaching the Native Zone. It is like an enchanted forest with lots of native plants inside.

Room 11 sat down on the stony path of concrete. Monique and Daniel had brought some worm tea from the worm farm with them so that room 11 could water some plants. Eileen was talking about the chirping Tui’s you can find in the blooming Pohutakawa trees, about how you could write notes on the chalk boards about conservation week and about how there is a fern growing behind the Tui Seat. In 2008 two girls named Elina and Rebecca wanted to make the Native Zone a better place so they put some special features in. After the talk we went exploring in the Native Zone and I entered the walkway.

I got to water some plants that needed fresh water and also looked at some native plants like the fern and koru, I even got to write a message, MAKE N.P.S GREEN BY DOING CONSERVATION WEEK.
